would be my guess.  Intoxicated, maybe high, half asleep, not entirely sure you're seeing what you're seeing and hearing what you're hearing.  Maybe just kinda blow it off as an argument in the other room.

It's amazing to me the lengths people will go to try and get in the spotlight.  Tiktoks about going on a single tinder date with this guy 7 years ago, his middle school crush, people like that coming out of the woodwork and somehow getting talked about in the news.
