If I remember correctly Stepp said a hire for this gig will not be made until sometime in January.

It wouldn’t be announced until January but that is only if they have their candidate by then.

From the article:  "Woods completed four seasons at EHS. During his tenure, he took the Plainsmen from an 0-10 record to 6-6. The total record was 11-32 during Woods time with Enid High School, according to an Enid Public Schools press release."

He is use to building back up programs. He has a state championship under his belt.

I was right with TISD only hiring practices at both schools. This dates back to Allen Wilson.

Years ago PN-G went outside of Texas and hired a coach from New Mexico, his name was Etheridge.

Speaking of Tyler football reminds me of Tyler John Tyler vs Plano East in the semi finals in 1974 with 3 minutes left in the game with Plano leading 41/17 and then .... well you will have to google the video to see the amazing end.

That game is was the mid 90's.  Plano East didn't exist in the 70's
