From the article: As the U.S Treasury department issued a license to Chevron to drill for oil in Venezuela, relaxing 2019 sanctions applied to Venezuela under the Trump administration, Venezuelan dissidents are crying foul, reminding the world that the Maduro regime continues to engage in what are internationally recognized crimes against humanity. Officially, the landmark U.S. policy change was a response to the Maduro regime’s dialogue with the opposition regarding spending on a humanitarian budget. Yet the change in policy has left many Venezuelan activists and dissidents disillusioned given the ongoing human rights situation in the country. Venezuela remains the most egregious abuser of human rights in the Americas, and according to a U.N. report in 2019 is complicit in 7,000 cases of extrajudicial killings since mass protests began against the Maduro government. Maybe so, I would just like for them to tell me why the policies biden has put forth has worked well for this country. They can't, so they choose to takes shots at anything Trump. Quote
Bobcat1 Posted December 6, 2022 Report Posted December 6, 2022 The opposion group who are anti-Maduro agreeded with this deal. Also, according to both sides zero profits will go to the Maduro regime, it goes to paying Chevon's debt. Quote

He has totally caved to the likes of AOC. Not only has he ruined our energy production, he eliminated thousands of jobs in the process. This sounds like really good policies to me. He will keep groveling to the like of OPEC, all the while, the are laughing at him behind closed doors. He is truly the laughingstock among the leaders of the world. Quote

And do you seriously believe there is no financial gain for this thuggish regime. This was about sanctions for crimes against humanity, and that hasn’t changed. What did change, oh yeah, the President. Quote

We were energy independent less that 3 years ago but somehow folks can't determine that was the lesser of two evils. The lesser of all evils is to drill for our own oil, but we'll need an R in office for that. Quote
