Biden administration gives Maduro regime lifeline as Venezuelans cry foul

I'd like to here what our friends on the left have to say about this.

From the article:

As the U.S Treasury department issued a license to Chevron to drill for oil in Venezuela, relaxing 2019 sanctions applied to Venezuela under the Trump administration, Venezuelan dissidents are crying foul, reminding the world that the Maduro regime continues to engage in what are internationally recognized crimes against humanity.

Officially, the landmark U.S. policy change was a response to the Maduro regime’s dialogue with the opposition regarding spending on a humanitarian budget. Yet the change in policy has left many Venezuelan activists and dissidents disillusioned given the ongoing human rights situation in the country.

Venezuela remains the most egregious abuser of human rights in the Americas, and according to a U.N. report in 2019 is complicit in 7,000 cases of extrajudicial killings since mass protests began against the Maduro government.

The opposion group who are anti-Maduro agreeded with this deal.

Also, according to both sides zero profits will go to the Maduro regime, it goes to paying Chevon's debt.

Why is biden so unwilling to drill on American soil?  He has totally caved to the likes of AOC.    Not only has he ruined our energy production, he eliminated thousands of jobs in the process.  This sounds like really good policies to me.  He will keep groveling to the like of OPEC, all the while, the are laughing at him behind closed doors.  He is truly the laughingstock among the leaders of the world.

So this was a great energy option for us?

And do you seriously believe there is no financial gain for this thuggish regime.

This was about sanctions for crimes against humanity, and that hasn’t changed.

What did change, oh yeah, the President.

Apple Springs’ game against King’s Academy was stopped just minutes before halftime on Thursday night and was not resumed. According to Apple Springs head coach and superintendent Cody Moree, the game was stopped due to safety concerns for the players. “We came out on fire, and we had a takeaway on their first series,” Moree said. “We scored every time we had the ball and built a big enough lead that we thought we might get a 45-point lead before half (which would have ended the game).   “A couple of our players were targeted on some plays that didn’t get called. We had a play where we hit a guy late on a tackle and we got flagged for it. “Players came off their bench and several of their fans came over the fence and there were verbal threats made toward our players.”   At that point, I went to the head official and told him that we were taking our kids off the field for their safety and the game was over.” Moree and his team went into the fieldhouse at that point and remained there until the stadium was cleared. “We didn’t forfeit anything,” Moree said. “I’m proud of our students and how we played and we handled ourselves in that situation.” Apple Springs will host Leverett’s Chapel on Friday.
