This game should break attendance record. I was at the state championship games last year & SOC had such a large turnout of supporters show up from the DFW area AT&T STADIUM had to open up the upper levels of seats on their side. With the large amount of supporters PNG will bring it will be jam packed both sides.

I was going to see if people wanted to start guessing what the official attendance is.  I'd guess 37k.

If the  SOC\ L.HILL game last year was 45,769, I'd guess PNG\SETX AREA can add 10,000 more to that so 55,000 is possible.

I think that helped a lot last year. Should be a great game with high attendance nonetheless.

Thx for posting that article. After reading it I figured that's what the SOC kids were talking about after the Argyle game when they kept saying they wanted to make history.

The record for the Friday night slot since the UIL went to one site is 32,314 Lake Travis-Waco Midway from 2011 that will surely fall as I expect South Oak Cliff to have 30k fans alone...the wildcard is how many show up on the PN-G side

Curious does anyone know how they take attendance for each game? Do they rescan tickets or something before each one? How do you know someone from the other games isn’t going to leave before our game, etc.

Also, this bulldog is trying to get ready for Friday lol. What are y’all saying during the war chant tomahawk chop? Scalp ‘em and something else after I think but I can never make it out!

SOC is pretty tough to beat in the playoffs lately. Granted this team is different than last year but they do have recent championship experience. SOC is going to be confident and ready to put on for the Triple D. I almost wish Aledo would play on Friday night so Dallas could be all day Saturday. You absolutely have to respect the playoff path PNG has made. I'm sure they will be ready and the whole tribe (is that what yall calls yalls fans?) will show up.

Good luck to Aledo this weekend!

If PNG wasn't in the state championship game this wouldn't even be news this week in my opinion. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Do you see them asking any other team that has “The Indians” as their mascot to change their names?  Haven’t heard them complaining about Santa Fe are Cleveland.

State championship games were available last year from my book but not sure if they will have them at LC. I was told they would be available.

High school games currently aren't available on the mobile apps for our local sportsbooks (Fanduel at Delta Downs, Draftkings at the Nugget, Barstool at L'auberge, and Caesars at the Horseshoe). Haven't checked at any of the books in person though.

    • naw, maaaaybe 7, definitely not 8 deep.  today im avoiding sitting by #10s parents, had to move away yesterday.   "put my son back in jub, put my son back in"  and then crying on every little touch of someone.    lets ball out today ktz!
    • Very close game until the 2nd half (mostly the 4th) when Orangefield came unraveled. Worse defensive effort I have seen out of the Bobcats in three years. This team has to get back on D and quit getting beat over the top when pressing. Offensively, non ball handlers continually turn it over and their shot selection is poor. Basic basketball, such as: defensive hustle, boxing out, and taking care of the basketball are the areas the Bobcats need to work on most. Whitmire will get them on point, but he shouldn't have to coach effort at the Varsity Level.  We'll be at McnNeese this Friday night at 6pm.
    • I don’t benefit from it, that’s not my area.  But the average cost to imprison someone is around $15k per year (on average in the US) and capital cases cost somewhere between $1.5-$3M with over half being overturned or reduced to life in prison anyway.  These numbers may be inflated since the last report I read but I’m sure it would be on both sides and higher on the DP side if anything. So what’s the point?  We feel better because we got to return the favor on someone (hopefully) who committed a heinous crime?  And I don’t know I can say we have “complicated” it. Which appeal should we cut out?  Our justice system has a pecking order and we have higher courts for a reason. When we are about to impose the ultimate judgment, should we cut steps that other cases have to save a buck?  Or do we not pay for an indigent person’s experts at the trial court level because it’s too expensive? Or do we just lock them up and throw away the key (unless we later find out they weren’t actually guilty, in which case we have a key and a life we haven’t unjustly ended) and save a ton of money?  Seems to me to be an obvious solution but I’m more of a pragmatist.
    • 1 thing for certain. Coach Earned 3 more years to figure it out lol
