But, it might not be a lot, compared to some, since at the time of his hiring he was an unknown quantity. Also not sure about Dodges' fee. But it did pay off in the long run as far as playoff money. But, as I've always said, there are no guarantees. BUT -- the important thing is to continue and try to find a coach to bring about a State Title. IMHO, even the unlearned knew that after a set amount of time, the Vidor coach wasn't the answer to a State Title. But, like I've always thought, he ran a respectable program. Quote

PN-G bamatex Posted January 7, 2023 Report Posted January 7, 2023 The Dodge contract was on $5K, plus an option to spend an additional $5K for additional consultation during this football season if needed. To my knowledge, that option was never exercised. Quote
Tiger33 Posted January 7, 2023 Report Posted January 7, 2023 If Matthews retires or leaves. Vidor should stay in the slot-t pay some money to the OC at Liberty Hill to see if he can translate the program to Vidor. dj and setxathlete14 2 Quote

myrecordwashorrible Posted January 8, 2023 Report Posted January 8, 2023 Incomprehensible? Funny, but spell the big word correctly. Come on man. Now if you did it on purpose and I missed and inside joke...my bad. Quote

Remember, the same thing was being said about PNG and not getting any where near a State Title. But, with the right coach, well, we see what happened. Look at what happened to WOS by having the wrong coach. Same athletes, wrong coach. Quote
purpleeagle Posted January 9, 2023 Report Posted January 9, 2023 I grew up in PN and played sports and my best friend was from G. Then PN and G were one team with one heartbeat. I think they still are. someone just stirring up crap. PN-G bamatex 1 Quote
