In the battle at Chosin Resovoir, Marine General Oliver Smith made a famous quote.

Question is, what was that quote?

Does not have to be word for word.  Just give it your best shot.

PS; tvc, give the others a day or two.  I’m 99% sure you know it.

🤣

Classic

Chesty quotes also…..

Answer:

“Retreat hell!  We’re not retreating, just advancing in a different direction.”

He was first sighted in the mid 60s.  He smiled at everyone.  He was thought to be an alien.  i had heard about him when I came home from Nam.   I guess he fit right in with the hippies that I couldn't figure out at all

Very impressive.  Indrid is allegedly an alien.  Supposedly friendly but if he’s a Biden supporter he’s probably lying like a Big Dog.

What was the cats name?

Got me on that one I think

I bet @tvc184 knows it.

PS; on a side note, my Dad took me when I was about 6 or 7 and ate 7 hotdogs.  😂😂

Only because my mother used to talk about them. Was born and raised in Beaumont (graduating from Beaumont High School) and went to the games.

Stuart field Years ago a Leggett fellow played for them. I'm trying to find out his name.

Close enough - Stuart Stadium.  Me and Dad went often.  Him to watch baseball and me to chase foul balls & eat hot dogs.  My seven may have been a record for my age group, lol.

Another side note, my best memory of going there - visitor hit a legitimate Texas Leaguer into left field.  The Exporters Left Fielder, Jim Greengrass came in at top speed and in a 180 degree dive made the catch.  As good a defensive play as I ever saw.  Saw it duplicated but it’d be hard to top.
