KFDM COOP Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 The school is named after C. H. Yoe whose wife donated the money and land to build a new high school after his death in 1921. A Yoeman is a medival archer that was responsible for protecting the royal family during the middle ages.
MIF04 Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 Except Robin Hood took from the rich -- so I guess he fought the Yoemen????
bigred75 Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 correct he fought against the yoeman not for them....................so that would make the cardinals- robin hood......................hmmmmm..........I am not sure I like where this is going....................Maybe we could be little john then.......................hhmmmm not sure I like that either and we surely are not friar tucks.................oh well...........forget it......I tried..
MIF04 Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 I'll take Robin Hood any day....its better than the Sheriff of Nottingham.
Guest bulldogbark Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 Would that Robin Hood have his men in tights????
Jsmity Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 We're men, we're men in tiiiggghhhtttss............................. :dru
RETIREDFAN1 Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 I'm glad you cleared that up...I always thought they were named after a Navy no-com... lol
Cove57 Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 This is how Ask .com definds YOEMAN: A man employed in a vessel of war to take charge of a storeroom, therefore a boatswain's yeoman the man that has charge of the stores, of rigging, etc.

The YOE mascot looks like a maroon dressed, robinhood.
