And the belief that vidor kids “can’t” do a modern offense (a belief that Coach Matthews has shamelessly expressed in news interviews) is baseless. There is nothing different between the PNG / Nederland kids and the Vidor kids except that the Vidor kids’ coaches think the Vidor kids can’t learn how to throw a ball. You are 100% correct! The kids are the same! Rez and HarryDoyle 1 1 Quote

Throwing my hat in the ring, I want to be the next head ball coach at Vidor. We will be running the Spread T, maybe I can get MTM to be my offensive coordinator and MTC to be my defensive coordinator. No but in all seriousness, I hate to see Coach MTW go but I’m sure he’s had enough and ready to move on to another chapter. Wish him the best at BSN, that’s a sports apparel and equipment company correct? Edited January 20, 2023 by Boneyard Boys Previous question answered above, thank you AAW. Johnny Carson Posted January 20, 2023 Report Posted January 20, 2023 Great job Coach, you did a great job and definitely left it better than you received it. I would think the applicant pool will be bigger or smaller depending on the direction the school admin/board wants the offense to be. Remember Vidor some in WOS wanted change and look what they got. Old saying a boss use to tell me is "You want it bad, sometimes you get it bad". Good Luck Vidor. Rez 1 Quote

I doubt they made a very exhausting search to find the best candidate available this last time around. If someone knows any different then let us know. If so, then maybe that's the reason WOS is in the shape they are in. Remember, kids this year at WOS are basically the same kids WOS has always had. Quote

It was never posted on any coaching sites. No recommendations were taken from the search committee. They had the guy already in place before CT even talked about retirement. Also, our sports for this school year has a combined record of... 9-52. That's a .148 winning % overall. Not acceptable Quote
