That was mostly due to the fact it was 42-26 MHS and the defense decided to stop playing, offense went conservative too. Final was 70-49.

Perhaps he decided to start playing vs defense stopped playing.

And yes....I'll agree,  at 42-26, we should win. But it does put a little perspective to it now. Does it not?

No doubt he's a great player, just stating what went on in that particular game since it was brought up. That HS GAME has no bearing on what happened in the NFL GAME today though. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Remember Silsbee losing to Channelview in the playoffs one year. Had to have been in the early to mid 90s.

It is easy at the high school, and even college level, to not recognize talent and potential greatness.  I didn't think Hurts was "all that" coming out of high school and I was wrong.  For the record, I didn't see what all the fuss was about with Marshall Faulk at San Diego State either.  I guess that's why I am not a recruiter.  Hurts is the real deal and Faulk didn't turn out too bad either.
