As of right now the standings are as follows: 

1. Crockett

2. New Waverly

3. Tarkington

4. Shepherd

Crockett and New Waverly will battle for the district championship next week.  Tarkington and Shepherd are automatically 3rd and 4th respectfully no matter what and with the losses to Trinity and Shepherd this week, Coldspring are officially eliminated from the playoffs.  This is the first time in basketball that I can remember that Shepherd and Coldspring was in the same district where Shepherd advances to the playoffs and Coldspring did not.

It's been a very long time for sure... I know that Coldspring has made the playoffs in basketball every year that I've been alive for sure so that's saying a lot.

As far as this goes don't count on it... Coldspring is losing talent like a cancer patient losing weight so it will be awhile until they can get some legit talent and also the right coaches to want to coach and be around the program not just basketball but football too.
