Season starts Feb 17 with a three game weekend series against Oakland.

Snell with opening day walk off long ball in extras!  Last year walk off homer in extras on opening day....Snell was the guy last year as well. 

Crowd size was decent despite the cold.  Back at it at 2 today.

Up 2-0 after 2.  Beautiful day for baseball especially in mid February.

Very good start vs an opponent that is average. Hopefully a nice non conference record this season since they don’t play too many good teams in non conference

at #4 Texas A&M tomorrow; also play at #1 LSU and #8 TCU later. Of course, these rankings don't mean much this time of season and a lot of these games get played more like exhibition games so sometimes hard to tell.

Yes A&M, LSU, TCU, Missou good teams.  U of H and Rice decent. The others average or not too good. Hopefully the record will be good after non conference to get them ready for conference I will give Davis credit for playing better teams than any other sport at Lamar

Lamar's noncinference schedule is fairly solid. Baylor adds another Big 12 school and UTRGV is solid.  The program I miss them playing is UL Lafayette.

nah we have a long history with them we are 8-35 but that is only our second win in 24 tries in College Station.

Very nice start of season for Cards. Looks like they are playing up to opponent’s level.  Excellent wins vs SEC and Big 12 opponents and 3 close wins vs an average Oakland team. 5-0, hope they keep it up

Only 5 games, but thus far it appears the pitching depth is stronger than last year.  Hopefully it holds up.
