Good thread title. Sounds like braking might have been involved (usually is). This administration has had over 2 years to reinstate the law they say Trump overturned. Trump probably had good reason to overturn it. Seems to me, in the end, common sense should prevail for hazardous loads. 
I heard this train was on fire before it derailed. Terrorism never occurs to anyone but me?

Terrorists normally claim credit. It’s been two weeks and there’s been no credit taken, only blame given - on both sides, I might add.

Not necessarily. What you failed to address is the fact that Buttleg blamed Trump for removing some law and I said Buttleg/Biden have had over two years to reenact said law instead of laying blame. Democrats are never responsible for their own mistakes. Who can say this wreck wouldn’t have happened if the law were still in effect? No one!!! But Trump will get blamed anyway and that’s really all that matters to the left.

You’re right. Trump did gut some railroad safety regs, but Biden’s had two years, as you said, to reinstate. We live in what I call a corporate democracy. Cost/benefit analysis using only dollars as input rules both parties. Only the spending purposes differentiate them. Biden did offer disaster assistance but DeWine has yet to request as of yesterday.

I suppose Trump is responsible for this one too. Train wrecks and airline crashes seem to come in groups of 2-3.

I’m completely at a loss to understand the reactions (or lack thereof) of the politicians involved.  From Buttigieg to DeWine and add who you want. There’s plenty of blame to go around.  Fascinating.  Absolutely fascinating.
