Beat the Rays without Alvarez, Altuve, Brantley and McCormick

Dusty is gonna have some tough lineup decisions to make when those guys get healthy with the way Dubon and Julks are hitting. Good problems to have though.

I’d leave Dubon in until his hit streak is broken

Dubon has his hit streak broken and my Astros lose to the Phillies 3-1.

Alvarez in the lineup today and Javier looked great in the 1st. Javier was the key pitcher in Philly in the WS.

The stros are falling farther apart

Hell, half their roster and half their pitching staff is on IL. It seems like everyday a new one goes on list.

The ones that are left are trying too hard.  Kids play hard kids get hurt

They are not going to make playoffs this season because no one is hitting the ball and keep putting in a couple of relievers that are weak

Care to make a wager on your prediction?

I don’t wager, but if they don’t start playing well soon, it is not going to happen

As of today, they have no one hitting, not scoring many runs, and 2 or 3 relievers that are pitching poorly right now and as the season is progressing, they seem to be playing worse  Baker keeps putting in this DH that is hitting about .120 and strikes out a bunch, but he keeps playing him

Do not be surprised if I am right

162 games, about 20% into the season, starters about to return, still in the mix…….I am the eternal optimist until mathematically eliminated. This team hasn’t stayed on top by a fluke. They will come around.

Astros are currently 8th in the American League in runs scored (out of 15 teams) and 3rd in runs allowed (out of 15 teams). They are projected to win 92 games and finish tied for 1st in the West.

I agree that they will have to win the division to make playoffs (don't see a wild card coming out of the division). Astros are currently without 3 starting pitchers and 3 every day players. I like their chances and willing to wager 4 figures to show my confidence.
