rupert3 Posted August 31, 2023 Report Posted August 31, 2023 Mets win 6-5 Rangers 1 game back. Stros tied for first Quote
BlueOwl Posted September 1, 2023 Report Posted September 1, 2023 I’m sure this has been talked about, but I’m not going back and reading 14 pages. Martín Maldonado is the worst hitter in franchise history. If not of all time in the MLB. This guy doesn’t need to see the field ever. dude brings no tangible skills to the table. He’s fat, slow, can’t hit, arm strength is average at best. I get the pitchers say they like him behind the plate, but other than game planning what does this fat boy bring to the table? Literally nothing. Quote

baddog Posted September 3, 2023 Report Posted September 3, 2023 I think the remaining schedule for the Mariners, Astros, and Rangers favors the Astros. AggiesAreWe 1 Quote

rupert3 Posted September 3, 2023 Report Posted September 3, 2023 Mariners lose to Mets 6-3, Rangers win 6-5. Time for Stros to wake up and take care of business. Quote

rupert3 Posted September 4, 2023 Report Posted September 4, 2023 Well it's hard to take but Yanks swept us now full game back. Next 3 games gonna be tuff. The other thing to think about is that we have played 2 more games than the other 2 teams. Quote
spidersal Posted September 4, 2023 Report Posted September 4, 2023 24 more games the Astros better get it going. Blue jays not far behind. If they lose 2 of 3 from Rangers they may have a tough road Quote
BEARCPA Posted September 4, 2023 Report Posted September 4, 2023 I’ve always been a Dusty defender, but I don’t think I can do it anymore. He tinkers with the lineups way too much; keeping the better bats on the bench way too much. Absolutely cannot be doing that this late in the season during a division title race this close. snakehead26 1 Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted September 4, 2023 Report Posted September 4, 2023 Astros will win the division baddog and rupert3 2 Quote

There has been alot of talk about that. Keeping Chas out of the game for a platoon being the most recent. Quote

Likewise, Yainer Diaz should be in the lineup daily. The weakest link in today's batting lineup is Jose Abreu. Our biggest overall problem right now seems to be starting pitching. BEARCPA 1 Quote
baddog Posted September 4, 2023 Report Posted September 4, 2023 Dubon and Altuve go back-to-back HRS TWICE. How often has that happened? Fun game to watch. Bregman 4-4. Need to keep winning. Tied for 1st again if we hold this lead. Quote
rupert3 Posted September 4, 2023 Report Posted September 4, 2023 Stros win 13-6 Dubon Altuve back to back twice Seattle loses Quote
