I think he strikes out far too much

They all do. He missed half the season and still hit 40 hrs last year. The real thing is that he's only been in 3 post season games. It's a shame for both him and ohtani. They really showed how much they would shine if given the opportunity.

Trout is a ten-time MLB All-Star, three-time American League (AL) Most Valuable Player (MVP) (winning the award in 2014, 2016, and 2019, while finishing second in the 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2018 votes), and is a nine-time winner of the Silver Slugger Award.

Over rated?  not remotely close to overrated at any point of his career.
