I am with you on that. That is why I say 50% and not every dollar.
I believe there is enough savings that we can do both. Total revamp of VA
This country has been throwing money around like Phil Mickelson and John Daly in the high roller room at Bellagio.
Starting pay at LIV is around 60k just for teaching. As the 59 corridor continues to grow (Splendora/Cleveland for example) assistant may not have to move very far just have to drive a little further. LIV hs is amazing newer campus and bout to build a new stadium. Year after year they have some of best looking kids in the district. If they don’t mess this up, could be a goldmine
I would respectfully disagree. Btw, both my parents were United States Marines - my Dad was a lifer... 30 years.
First, we need to address the deficit.
I would say that the administration needs to come up with (and adhere to) a budget for ALL programs while making sure there are ample funds for veteran's programs. I wouldn't just start throwing money at ANY program without a realistic budget. Additionally, as relates to veterans, I would hope for a revamped VA before I just poured money into that cesspool of inefficiency.
Let's get the deficit addressed first which is only going to happen with unpopular and difficult cuts and doing away with frivolous uncontrolled spending. I'm not saying to kick veterans to the curb. I'm saying that we need to get our house in order before we keep spending additional monies that we don't really have.
I know this is what most parents want for the kids… but if your kid is a amazing athlete or thrives in a sport let’s say for example they are really good a football… and play RB… Hardin Jefferson may offer a better education than say West Orange Stark or Newton… but the football team is likely to only win 2 games at HJ even with your son… Where are you sending him? West Orange or HJ? (These are total hypothetical scenarios) this is assuming your job and money situation is the same at either school district
