Nope, our youth programs are not as competitive as the DFW area and we don’t have the coaching infrastructure and resources available. Not to mention the budgets these top programs funnel through their soccer program. We do good for what we have

 Celina girls looked very good. That North Dallas/Frisco area is the Mecca for top youth academy’s. From 4A to 6A, you can bet there will be several high schools from that area playing for a title

Absolutely!  Nothing to hang their heads about.  It’s still an amazing achievement to make it back to back years.

Lumberton 0 Palestine 0 at the half.  Seems to be reasonably even so far, but I tuned in midway.  A lumberton defender did clear a Palestine header off the line at the end of the half or it would be 1-0

They played so well!  Probably a fair result, but lumberton also did enough to get to the shootout.

Brutal way to lose.  Soft lofted free kick from probably 40 yds out, right to the keeper’s hands.  He mishandled it, it popped off the crossbar, and a forward came running in and knocked the goalie, and defender, and the ball across the line. Was a clear foul IMO, but the goalie had no business dropping the ball to begin with

Watched it tonight.  Very impressive performance in a game where they were supposed to be the underdogs
