i remember when she disappeared.  Hard to believe she was buried on her boyfriend’s property the whole time

I read a few articles that said they found evidence. This article (and probably others that I missed) finally confirmed for me that they found her remains. That is likely terrible but at the same time great for the family.

The article said they got an evidentiary search warrant. Aren’t all warrants for evidence?

I have asked that before but it is sometimes an interesting point of law.

I read somewhere, maybe FB comments, so it might not be true....BUT, I read a crime show team did a segment in the recent past and they sent an investigation team out.  They noticed the carport supports were buried in the concrete driveway, suggesting the concrete was poured after the carport was put up......made them think it was poured to hide the body.

I initially had some ill thoughts about this article and case.  I was stating that our local authorities were pouring resources into a 25 year cold case when there are recent cases where people are missing are recent unsolved murders.  But seeing this play out with the evidence and such, I have a sense of satisfaction.  I would like to apologize to those authorities on behalf of myself and the others that shared my sentiments.

Sounds like they got some really good info on the case that led them to this point.  It’s a shame it took this long for the person with information to come forward.  This guy should’ve been put away a long time ago

rarity for Buna.  The name sounded familiar, and a google search pulled up an article where he’d been in the news for having gone missing last year.

A follow up on that story.  They found the perp.

@bullets13  I met the kid that was murdered. His mother is in a acoustic duet called Thunderbird Rose. He would come out with them occasionally when they would perform.  He seemed like a really nice kid.  This is the second "Mom" I know personally in the local music scene that has lost a child.  I learned through the first one, even if you have kids, you still can't imagine the level of pain/guilt/anger/depression losing one of your kids will cause.  I know she could use some prayers right now.

Pretty sure I mentored the big brother of the other kid you knew who passed when I was in high school.

The PA one is interesting.  Road rage, female shooter killed a male from another car, who also reportedly fired shots.  She turned herself in afterward.  Would love to hear the details on that one

No kidding…. 😳

It’s an even wilder case than I thought after getting some details.

    • Regardless of the offense, kids need a reason or purpose to play football. Normally, for most kids, football is something they genuinely enjoy playing, because most players won’t be suiting up on Saturdays. At the end of the day, the most successful teams have kids and coaches that genuinely love the game and get joy and fulfillment playing it.  Vidor’s two current biggest issues are the lack of appeal to play the game and a lack of community support. The offense has been the same for years, and Mathews did a great job of getting the kids and community behind his teams year in and year out. Vidor’s whole identity was being a team you hated to play because you knew you were in for a long physical night. That made the game fun for the kids who played, and they took a lot of pride in it. Currently, I would argue that the toxic attitude of the community towards the offense and Dubois in general is the biggest thorn in the team’s side. The need for instant gratification from fans is what is fueling it all. When the players go home or out in the community and hear: how bad the offense is, how bad the defense is, or how bad the coaching is, the players will begin to lose pride in the program, and the game is no longer fun. This leads to discipline issues and players quitting. Vidor has lost their identity and Dubois and the offensive scheme isn’t the culprit. The Vidor community needs to leave their objections of who they hired at the door and let the man work if they wanna be successful in the future.
    • We will see i heard they pretty dam good 3 losses but all to great teams
