Can GCM take care of business and knock Sterling officially out of the playoffs or does Sterling get to battle one more game against PNG? Last time , GCM had Sterling down by several runs and then the walks began letting Sterling back in the game. I think the final was 7-6. Rival game with playoff implications.

GCM did not show up to play tonight. Like not at all. Helps the cause though. Sterling has some talented and scrappy seniors that have just taken it upon themselves to leave their mark. Go down swinging mentality. Oh could this be the year they finally get in. So reality here , For one , if PNG overlooks Sterling because PNG has already secured a playoff spot , Sterling will have the upset of the year over the Indians. PNG comes out strong and then gets complacent they give Sterling a win of a lifetime. However , if PNG keeps their foot on the gas and comes out to play they get the win. I just think they are too talented. Having a family member on the Sterling team for the last few seasons has been a hope of a playoff and then not enough to get in. I’m not sure GCM can even beat Lee. After the way GCM played tonight, Lee may have a big victory coming to them. Good softball down the final stretch.

Sterling : 2

PNG with a ten run rule over Sterling ending their 4th place playoff hopes for Sterling. The current Sterling varsity coaching staff that has been together now for 7 years straight is still unable to make the playoffs. There has been a call for a change at head coach by both parents and players but it probably won’t happen. Sterling had the talent to make it this year as a 4th place program. Credit to a great senior class for even making it interesting down the line.
