Saw this on Rangers Public Relations: 

 

After Friday's win in San Francisco, the Rangers:

-Own the best 116-game record in franchise history at 69-47

-Matched the season high-water mark at 22 games above .500

-Are an A.L.-best 9-1 in August, posting 9 wins in a 10-G span for the 1st time since 2017 

Texas starting pitchers this month, after Jon Gray's 7.0 SHO IP for the win tonight: 8-1 with a 2.44 ERA (17 ER/62.2 IP) in 10 games.

 

Texas batters have 20 home runs in the first 10 games in August, the 2nd-most for the club in any 10-game span in 2023 (21 HR, 7/26-8/6).

I guess riding the momentum. Haven’t produced many hits today. Trying to get in scoring position. The problem is Josh Smith leads off the 10th if we get there.

Rangers wrap up the series win with a 7-3 dub.

Win #72, most wins thru 120 games in team history. 

The win makes the home record for the AL West leading Rangers 42-20 (best in MLB currently).

Going for the sweep tomorrow night before an off-day on Thursday.
