Should an umpire allow a HS Athlete to direct profanity towards him?

IMO, it should not be tolerated at all.  HS students directing profane language towards an adult is unacceptable in my book.

I agree, big lesson in life learning to control your emotions.  There are consequences for your actions, and the umpire/referee ranks across all sports is seriously down.  Wonder why?

While I agree… HS athlete’s are human as well.. depending on the situation a warning should be issued. In our situation the kid got caught in the heat of the moment and made a mistake… Kid was a senior and that could’ve been the last game in high school he ever played.. luckily they still got the series win and he got to play another week. I guess IMO and someone who was a high school sports official (not baseball) it all depends on the situation.

Coaches don’t sit next game(unless they failed to do the uil class on the internet ). That is for players.
