If there is not a big turn around this year, things will heat up.  As far as press box fire, hated to hear that. It was looking great and I know community was getting excited to see it almost completed. Hope it is a quick fix.

I wonder how this will affect home games this year? Heard on the radio that the facility will be closed for 4 months starting in September.

No effect for football. We've been without a pressbox for a while now. The new multi million dollar event center will not be available.

It is highly unlikely that we will be able to utilize these facilities for the upcoming 2023 football, volleyball, and basketball seasons. 

Our primary concern is to prevent any recurrence of the burnt smell that may surface in the future.

The school concluded by saying, “West Orange-Cove CISD remains committed to providing our community with the best education and experiences.

so basically it was a real big magnifying glass.   Good thing that didn't happen with people sitting there.

Yea but I still dont get it. Glass is straight. You would need the curve to magnify the sunlight. So this was just reflection.

It looks like the glass is angled down toward the field.   Maybe it just put enough heat on the seats to ignite the seat covers.

Let’s be clear,there were no covers involved as they were not in yet…somebody make a decision to cover the fancy seats with a tarp from harbor freight
