If you kept going backwards you’d find someone someplace. That’s why the “descended from” argument is such a joke. You have two parents, four grands, 8 great grands. The average person is seven generations removed from the time of slavery. Every person seven generations removed from the time of slavery has 128 direct ancestors from that single generation… 256 if they’re eight generations removed. And we’re surprised that one of those 256 people may have been a slaveowner (or slave, for that matter). 
 

Im just trying to figure out which one of my ancestors were enslaved so I can get my reparations, too.
