Yes BC had a stud RB that played at UT. Silsbee and Waldo didn't merge until 1969 or 70 i believe.

But they won state. Asking other teams fans if they have ever won state when your team has not is pretty lame. Also, this is the football forum. Winning state in any other sport is irrelevant here.

Give it till about mid September then we should start to see who the contenders are. DCTF does a pretty good job projecting teams that will be in the hunt for a playoff run. We have plenty of local teams who should make playoff runs, and as always there will be a couple of under the radar teams have exceptional seasons. 
  I am looking for another good year for the eastern side of Hardin County: Raiders & Tigers………

I was living in the Texas panhandle at the time and I always remember Steve Wooster and Bridge City.  Had no idea where that was until then but it's been stuck in my memory a long time.
