Good 1st game matchup for both teams. Zeno for HF is a legit play maker, can score any time he touches it whatever position he plays. Young QB for HF Bryson? looked good in Nederland scrimmage. Strong arm, accurate & made all the throws. L-Towns offense is a problem for any defense once they get rolling, their size & depth might be too much for HF to deal with for 4 quarters.

Some teams think that success one or two years translate to be successful.  Lumberton was very successful last year.  We'll see how well that translate to this year 🤷‍♂️

It'll definitely be another good Week 1 match up. Was watching HF scrimmage at Dayton last week. Zeno looked good as always, Bryson dropped a gorgeous pass over the top of two defenders, right into a WR's arms 30-40 yards down the field. The D-Line could cause some issues for Lumberton, they looked like they had some decent size and were pretty disruptive.

We'll have a live audio stream for the game.

If you can't make the game, tune in over in our Broadcast tab at 7:15 Friday night.

Good matchup.  I think HF sticks it out in a tight ball game.  I have not seen either team in a long while.  Home field may play a big part.  Longhorns were able to go toe to toe with a so so Bulldog team.

Didn’t get on much this week.  This one was a tossup in my mind, so I gave L-town the edge at home.  Had I realized ward wasn’t playing I probably would’ve picked HF.  Still a great win to start the season for my Horns

Honestly, without heckamen, HF probably wont have a very good year.

Well, Heckaman was not there last year and we went to 3rd round. Beat Lumberton last night.

Both Lum &HF are big enough schools that they should be able to absorb a couple of different starters being unable to play; Some will have more impact than others; How about HF, haven’t heard much about player status for them.

HF is not that big we are a small 4a.

Can’t agree with that statement. If you’re missing even 1 of your studs, far less 2, it can be very impactful. I give you Friday night as evidence.

Ward was missed for sure but blocks have got to still happen. Kersh has been Powell’s go to connection ever since jr high, so that was missed. The receivers Reyes, Breeden,Bourque, and Rhodes are proving that they will haul in a pass in traffic so that is looking good. I think our defense will get stronger. Had some good hits and big plays. As play recognition gets better, will cut down on big plays happening.
