Game times changed/Post here

Post any kickoff times being changed for this week's games here please. I'll make the changes in the weekly schedule thread up top.

 

Beaumont West Brook at Houston Lamar changed from 7pm to 8pm

Vidor at Silsbee changed from 7:30pm to 8pm

Several games across the state are moving their game times back an hour or two to get out of the heat as much as possible.

Forecast for Friday has game time (7pm) temps around 100 and heat index around 112-115 in this area.

By 8pm the temp is forecast to be around 90-92 with index at 98.

I think moving game times back an hour is smart.

North Shore at The Woodlands moved back to 8pm

Santa Fe at Kempner moved back to 7:30pm

Shortage has nothing to do with these games being moved back an hour or two. All has to do with game time temps.

Now games being moved to Thursday or Saturday from Friday night does have to do with official shortage.

Also (because these wont be posted on here) if you attend Freshman and JV games you might want to call up the school or stadium to make sure you have the correct time. I've seen some of those games across the state get moved to a later time as well.

I know the radiant heat off of a turf field during the heat of day is several degrees hotter than the ambient temperature.  I wonder how long it takes for one to start cooling down. Never really heard anyone complaining much during evening games.
