From the Lovelady Tournament this evening:

Orangefield jumped out to a 10 - 0 lead to start the game and then went cold. The girls struggled shooting the ball and fell behind going into the 4th qtr. The game was closer than the final score...Magnolia made their free throws down the stretch to pull away. Gets tougher tomorrow when the Lady Cats play St.Pius!!!

Orangefield was scheduled to play St. Pius this morning but Pius didn't show up so Orangefield wins by forfeit. Orangefield played Madisonville just to get another game in before tomorrow's bracket play starts and Madisonville won by around 10 points.

The tounament did not go as we had planned. But that is OK. We proved that we were just as good any team there. But we did not play that well. We could have won the whole thing. But if beer and nut's where if's and but's we would all have a party. It's about showing up every game and we did not do that. Hopefully the girls will learn from this experience and take it to the next level. The potential is there.

Thats part of the growing process.These young ladies will be fine once they get a little experience.There is a HUGE difference in playing at 7pm versus playing at 5:30pm(if you know what I mean).If they are competing now with the better programs the future will be bright for the Lady Bobcats.
