Lamar_Basketball Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 I saw in another thread that no "air horns" will be allowed at the game Friday. Does that mean the big horn that's set up in the endzone won't be able to enter the stadium? Or just those little hand-held ones won't? Can anyone clarify? The L-Train horn is a great tradition that needs to be continued in Lumberton for a long time.
AJ25 Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 the guys who bring the horn will still bring it regardless of what they say. they will get thrown out of the stadium before that would leave it outside. so it'll be there don't worry!

But at whose expense? Could the team incurr penalties for the fan's use of an air horn, or train horn?I agree the horn needs to be there, but at what price? What about setting it up just outside the stadium?

I can't figure this? The game is LaMarque vs Lumberton (with Lumberton designated as the Home team) and the two schools are RENTING Stallworth Stadium. As long as the stadium is not damaged in any way why do the Stallworth people even care what happens between LaMarque and Lumberton - they are going to get their rental fee. Let the fans be fans. Geeeeeez!!!!
BearWolf Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 in 2 years teams will have another stadium alternative in SETX

East Texas LM Fan Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 UIL has a rule forbidding airhorns at games...tons of teams do it anywaysI think that there is a UIL rule about using any kind of noise makers, but don't think it is enforced consisitently. I have been to games where air horns and other noise makers have been used and nothing was said and games where they have been used and people were told that if they used it again they would be kicked out of the stadium...I remember a La Marque playoff game that was somewhere in Houston where I brought my cowbell and I was told not to use it again or I would be asked to leave...that is the only game that I can recall that I was told not to use it...anyway I plan to bring it to the game tomorrow...I will be driving from Nacogdoches to La Marque for the game tomorrow morning...I hope everyone has a safe trip and...Go Coogs!!
24 over par Posted November 23, 2007 Report Posted November 23, 2007 more cow bell i must have more cow bell
