jenks Posted August 28, 2023 Report Posted August 28, 2023 Since this is the 50th anniversary of East Chambers Buccaneers Vs. Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns (AKA Rice Bowl) Does anyone have the all time record of this rivalry game? Any history anyone has will be cool to see. Who will win the 50th "football" meeting of these two schools? Rivalry games seem to always bring out the best for both teams...probably will be closer than most expect is my prediction. Since it will be at Longhorn Stadium I will give it to the Longhorns by 10. Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted August 28, 2023 Report Posted August 28, 2023 Hamshire-Fannett leads all time series 26-23. On a two game win streak in series. jenks 1 Quote

KF89 Posted August 28, 2023 Report Posted August 28, 2023 I give the edge to the Tezeno\Bryson combo for the H.F. win. Quote
navydawg31 Posted August 28, 2023 Report Posted August 28, 2023 HF wins this one big!!! Pushes streak to 3! Quote
buccaneers4lyfe Posted August 28, 2023 Report Posted August 28, 2023 I dont have a good feeling about this one, but stranger things have happened in rivalry games. Quote
TrojanMoJo Posted August 28, 2023 Report Posted August 28, 2023 Longhorns 21-Buccaneers 18!! It should be an exciting 50th Rice Bowel this is week. Quote

DP#1FAN Posted August 29, 2023 Report Posted August 29, 2023 HF 36 EC 28 This should be a very good game with 2 well coached teams. Quote
A BUC 77 Posted August 29, 2023 Report Posted August 29, 2023 Buccaneers show up Friday. We have always loved to spoil a good party. Bucs by 3. Good rivalry games back in the 70's. Coach Koenning against Coach Stratton. Quote
bulldog16 Posted August 29, 2023 Report Posted August 29, 2023 Isn't Tezeno out the 1st half of this week? Quote
Gameday2 Posted August 29, 2023 Report Posted August 29, 2023 With this being one of those true rivalry game the teams will have a lot of emotions going. HF will have the emotion and a well balanced offense and defense to add another win. Quote
myrecordwashorrible Posted September 1, 2023 Report Posted September 1, 2023 Over 30 years since EC dropped a classification and the 2 schools have not been in the same classification and of course district since. Just something to remind some of us on here that we are getting old. Quote

bullets13 Posted September 1, 2023 Report Posted September 1, 2023 HF beat EC 41-0 in Winnie last year. This HF team is probably better than last year's version. EC may have improved some, I don't know, but I still expect a comfortable win for the Horns. myrecordwashorrible 1 Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted September 1, 2023 Report Posted September 1, 2023 HF is definitely the favorite and my pick to win tonight. But I will not be surprised if the game is much closer than last year's game. I'll be on the sidelines for this one tonight. Rice balls and a bowl of rice and gravy please!!! bullets13 Posted September 1, 2023 Report Posted September 1, 2023 It looks like the game may be broadcasted on NFHS, which surprised me. I didn’t realize HF had gotten cameras put in. I’ll probably opt for that rather than getting there an hour early in 97 degree heat to get a spot to sit Quote

I’d be shocked if it’s not quite a bit closer. Also have to see if HF has a little hangover after a huge win last week, but I expect them to be up for this one. Quote
