BBfan061 Posted September 6, 2023 Report Posted September 6, 2023 Since this district meets the local district in the first round I wanted to start a thread that I can update scores for this district and kinda talk about where it’s looking like things will end up come playoff time… I know it’s early but barring anything crazy I’ve got a good idea of where this district should finish. Before the season I thought it was Bellville’s district to lose…I was worried about the offensive line losing all but one starter. Currently Bellville starts 4 sophomores and 1 junior on the offensive line but still has good size up front. Even though it’s just been La Grange and Stafford the young line has impressed me. I thought Royal was over rated regardless of what returned last year and so far I’ve seen nothing to prove me otherwise. Sealy was entering the year losing their new starting QB to another school BUT he ended up coming back right before school started and he will make a huge difference for them. Bellville should still beat Sealy for the top spot but we will see. The Sealy QB is only a sophomore but I think he will be special over the next couple years. Bellville is on of those teams that sometimes that they cover on here if it's in a local district but since yall will play some of the teams from the site in the playoffs (if yall make it there which yall should) then I don't mind the insight over into the season for a team like yours or others that SETX may play. TrojanWarrior08 Posted September 6, 2023 Report Posted September 6, 2023 Although our district is a coverage district but the area where I live ex: Huntsville, Coldspring, Shepherd, Willis, Conroe ISD, Splendora, Cleveland, etc. we are with what I consider to be a gray area in Texas we can be SETX or East Texas, Greater Houston area or Central Texas so we're just glad to get coverage out here and thanks to SETX Sports for making it happen because Lord knows I can't do that other site. myrecordwashorrible 1 Quote

Columbia 3-3 If Sealy get a couple guys back that are injured that includes their QB who is their best player they might could sneak into the 4th spot BUT would need Columbia to lose to La Marque this week. I’m interested to see Sweeny in person the last game of the year. The coach from Rockport Fullerton took over this season and brought his son who is the starting QB with him. They are looking to be much improved from last season. Quote

But a lot of stuff could happen like Sweeny losing out to Royal,Sealy, and Bellville. If both Sweeny and Columbia win this week Sealy won’t make it no matter what happens. Quote
