lots of things could happen that is why you play the game.

there is a higher percentage than not that they all end up 4-2.

if they do end in a tie does that district use the positive point system?

Regardless of how things work out.. idk if any of the teams in this district get past the area round… this region is really tough this year IMO

I believe Kirbyville will defeat OF and own the tiebreak over EC and OF.

You could be correct if they go off the spread. I don't see EC beating OF by 30, but I didn't think Kirbyville would beat EC by 30 either. I'm hoping EC young  members will catch up and the team will peak just at the right time. This means you think EC will beat Orangefield and Kirby(Loss to Ana by 14) will beat OF by more than 14?

I think it surprised EC too!!!! I like close district games, I think it prepares the teams for the playoffs. I also like to play teams that passes pretty good, it helps prepare for playoffs. I think playing HF this year help our secondary even though we lost.

I think it surprised EC too!!!! I like close district games, I think it prepares the teams for the playoffs. I also like to play teams that passes pretty good, it helps prepare for playoffs. I think playing HF this year help our secondary even though we lost.

If EC ends up tied with KV, It would be a 2 way tie with KV winning the head to head. OF and Anahuac would both have 2 losses.

It's only points scored/allowed within the three teams tied.

There is a max point total of 18 or 21. Not sure what this particular district policy uses.

 

There cannot be a three way tie between EC, Kville and OF.

Kirbyville only has 1 game remaining. A win over OF has them finishing district at 5-1 and they will be the #1 seed with their head to head wins over EC and OF. A loss will have them at 4-2 and will be either 2nd or 3rd seed depending on outcome of EC/OF game.

Orangefield has two games remaining. If they finish with 2 losses, they will be 4-2. Two wins, 6-0 district champs. 1-1, 5-1 and depending on who they lose to will determine the district championship.

EC has Hardin and OF remaining. If they beat Hardin and OF beats Kville, then the district #1 seed is on the line week 11 with EC at OF. An EC loss to OF will put them tied with Kville for 2nd seed but Kville gets tie breaker with their win over EC.

With Anahuac losing to Buna, they no longer can be in a three way tie with EC and Kville. Anahuac has 3 losses and Kville can finish with a max of just 2 losses. Anahuac only has 1 game remaining. They will need to beat Tarkington and hope that Buna loses 1 of their two remaining games (Hardin or Tarkington). An Anahuac loss to Tarkington would all but eliminate Anahuac from the playoffs.

There is a possibility that Anahuac, Buna and Tarkington can finish in a three way tie for the final playoff spot. Assuming EC beats Hardin next week to keep EC from falling to a possible of 3 losses, then those three teams would be battling for final playoff spot.

Big games next week is OF at Kville and Tarkington at Buna.

So what happens if Tarkington beats Anahuac and Hardin beats Buna. By now everything is a possibility in this district. Then three teams with 2-4 records. Does Buna still win because they have the head to head vs Tarkington and Anahuac now?
