That’s one of the reasons I disagreed. 
Still not ok with the statement 100%. Banishment for life is a little extreme.

if there's an attainable, workable path to citizenship, anyone who foregoes it is a criminal.  with the way it's set up now, I can't blame anyone for circumventing it.
