Speaking of anniversaries: 2025 will be the 100th year of PNG and Nederland playing. That year, we played twice. A piece of me thinks it would be cool if we played twice in 2025 (preseason and regular) as a part of commemorating the century mark.

Nederland's O vs PNG's D.  This will be an interesting game as usual, maybe more so depending on how the district race plays out.

Yes and no.  I think it would take away from the festivities of the game week a little but would be a cool homage to the beginnings. Ned and PNG played twice for several years after both teams started up.

I thought I read somewhere that this year was the 100th of them playing and the 10th anniversary of Bum Phillips passing.

Bum did pass in 2013, but due to playing twice several years this will be game #100.  Both teams started playing in 1925.
