Am I reading it right that Lumberton and Vidor are both above the upper limit for 4A from last cycle? Do we think they're coming into 5ADII?

Would personally love to see PN-G and Nederland in a district with more Golden Triangle-area teams again.

You are reading it wrong.

The cutoff from 4A to 5A was 1300. Both schools turned in below that number. They will stay 4A.

Yeah, I figured out I was looking at the 2020-22 cutoffs after posting that.

I see them going to the deer park channelview pasadena isd district

Absolutely no reason for Deer park to be in the Pasadena district. They should be with King, North Shore and Humble ISD.

GCM should be in with the Pasadena schools.

GCM will definitely be going up to 6A with those numbers.

Looks likely that La Porte and GCM will need to be 6A, if the rest of Baytown goes up to, then we will have a wildly different district next year.

What? They are geographically connected districts... unlike GCM.

Geography should not matter. In years past GCM was sent to Humble ISD when it would have been just as easy to go with Pasadena.

Keep Deer Park, La Porte, and GCM with the Pasadena districts if you want. Especially if some of the Pasadena schools drop to 5A as expected.

The district described makes sense but there's not universe where you send Deer Park across the Bridge.

The UIL has not had a problem in past years sending GCM to Galveston, Friendswood, Humble, and the Golden Triangle (driving past BH in the process). They crossed multiple bridges every single time.

Not going to feel sorry for a school that will take charter busses to their playoff game in Galena Park next week.

Does Baytown Lee go 5ADII with this number or opt up to 5ADI?

If they go 5ADII and Splendora moves up, wouldn’t that force the Fort Bend ISD schools to move out of 9-5ADII?

I hope not. I’d rather have FBM than Splendora and Lee.

I take your point regarding the level of competition, but I also recognize that the last few years’ worth of travel has taken its toll on the kids, their families, the fans and the district.

In this scenario, I imagine we’d have to keep Texas City. Nederland and Dayton would still be solid competition. Keep playing Memorial and WO-S in the preseason, and replace United with Silsbee, Jasper or Lumberton. That would be a solid schedule.
