Rez Posted November 5, 2023 Report Posted November 5, 2023 Any word on whether Shae Adams will play this week? If so, in what capacity? It seems a waste to have a perfectly capable qb already and put him on the sidelines, when you could have Shae all over the field terrifying defenses and defensive coordinators, with Bailey at QB. lcm93 Posted November 5, 2023 Author Report Posted November 5, 2023 Both sides of the stadium should be packed for this one !! Quote

Shae did play 2 plays Friday night. He took the last 2 snaps. Quote

He was cleared 2 weeks ago to my knowledge, probably just being safe with him. I look for him to play, in what capacity remains to be seen. I’d assume he would be in for the jumbo sets at QB like last season. Connor Bailey has been playing great since Shea went down in week 3. I predict you’ll see them use him similar to last season. 80/20 split from WR to QB. Reagan, Rez and CS. 3 Quote

Eazy Posted November 6, 2023 Report Posted November 6, 2023 Brenham can put some points on the board and will probably stay in this one. PNG will need to ignore the 5-5 record and come to play. I’ll take PNG 38-27. Rez 1 Quote
badndn Posted November 6, 2023 Report Posted November 6, 2023 38-28 last year. This PNG defense is stronger than last years. Offense is more lean on you for four Q’s and wear you down. Quote

Our district was considerably weaker from last year. Quote

FrodoNDN Posted November 7, 2023 Report Posted November 7, 2023 The only comparison I could come up with is the Montegomery barely lost to LakeCreekand got beat by Dayton. Other than that it's up in the air on which district is tougher Quote

The Montgomery vs Lake Creek deal is a Montgomery ISD rivalry that defies logic. The last 2 years, those games have been nuts. Quote
prepballfan Posted November 7, 2023 Report Posted November 7, 2023 You gotta remember PNG was under a new coach and system that got better as the season went on. Also many kids played 16 games last season that came back. Thats an easy equation to make your district look weaker. I believe FBM is a small amount weaker. Texas City is better. Nederland is better, FBW is better as well. Reagan and 1970 2 Quote
1970 Posted November 7, 2023 Report Posted November 7, 2023 I can picture Shea going into the game here and there, just as a decoy, so to speak. PNG should be able to control this game. Quote

Lamar1996 Posted November 7, 2023 Report Posted November 7, 2023 If the weather holds true for all day Friday, I wonder if the two schools would move the game to Saturday. Not sure the Cubs would travel 2.5 hours and risk the safety of all the kids participating in the event. Quote

prepballfan Posted November 9, 2023 Report Posted November 9, 2023 FBM up to 2 at one point. PNG up to three now, TC inside top 20 now. Nederland is better, FBW is better. Dayton not as good and GP and Santa Fe the same. Maybe I am missing something??? Quote
