I have never been to this stadium so I don't know but, just from looking at the picture, it appears as though if you turn on San Augustine (off Center St.), you will be at the front of the school, not the stadium.  If you were to continue on Center St. down to W P Street, then that would get you in the stadium parking lot.  Can anyone who has been there confirm or deny this?

To get to the Deer Park stadium: go I-10 to 146, go south on 146 over the Ship Channel bridge, get in right lane and go West on 225, remain on 225 and exit Center Street, go South on Center street all the way down to San Augustine, you can turn right on San Augustine and the Campus is less than 1/4 mile on the left (the stadium is on the South side of the Campus), or continue on Center to, I believe P Street, and go west and it will run into the parking lot.

or

Go I-10 to BW8, go south on BW8 (will have a toll at foot of toll bridge), continue on BW8 to San Augustine and go East (left) on San Augustine and the South Campus is down on the right, the stadium is on the south side of the School.  Home side is on the West side and Visitors on the east.

Traffic is terrible on Center street in the evenings so leave early,  it is about 70 miles.

You can avoid Baytown all together if you want and take the first exit after crossing the Trinity River/Olr River.  Here is how:

Take first exit off bridge and turn left.

Go about 4-5 miles tunr left at 4-way stop (there will be a BBQ stand at the intersection)

Go about 6-7 miles and turn Right on Hwy 99 (Mary Dunn Realty will be on left at this turn)

Follow Hwy 99 until you dead end onto Old Hwy 146 (about 6-7 miles)

Turn left on Hwy 99 and you will follow it over the Fred Hartman Bridge (Ship Channel)

Turn Right on Hwy 225 and exit Center Street (about 4 miles)

Turn left on Center street

Turn right on San Augustine

Football parking down on left  (park by a side road, man it's hard getting out of that parking lot).

A bunch of cheap scapes.  It's only 2 dollars to cross the bridge plus when you exit on 225 to LaPorte, you're only like 2 miles from the stadium.  Just remember, if you don't see the Shell refinery when you exit, no matter the direction, you haven't gone far enough

I am more concerned with saving a little time.  Is one way noticably faster than the other?

Believe it or not, taking the beltway is faster.  There are lights on 146 until you get to the freeway part of it just before the bridge.  And you must do the speed limit because it's loaded with speed traps.  Take the beltway, when you exit, the next exit is 2 or 3 exits up if front of the Deer Park plant(Shell)
