West Brook junior running back Christine Michael and senior running back Jarret Malone of district runner-up Humble (9-3, 6-1) were co-offensive MVPs. Sterling junior Miki Partsch was the only athlete from Baytown to be named to the first-team offense. Fellow Ranger Justin Neal was named first-team special teams and Lee’s J.T. Cleveland and Reggie Butler were named first-team defense.Austin Ebow and Travis Swanson of Kingwood and Ryan Pollard and Leighton Zeno of West Brook joined Partsch on the first-team offensive line as did Humble senior center Jesse Hernandez. West Brook’s Joshua Powdrill and Ryan Grant joined Freddie King and Patterson Clay of Port Arthur Memorial, Quinton Parks of Atascocita and Zachary Loudd of Channelview as first-team receivers. A.J. Paradowski of Kingwood was named to the team as a fullback and Michael, Malone and Channelview’s Jackie Hinton were named first-team running backs. Christian Lewis of West Brook was named first-team quarterback. Despite finishing third in the district offensively, Lee was shut out of the first-team offense. On the second team, Kevin Craft was the sole Gander representative on the offensive unit. Sterling seniors Terell Zeno and Manasah Davis, Jalonzo Thomas of Memorial and Jordan Garrett of West Brook joined the senior receiver on the second team. Ranger senior Marvin Rogers was named to the second-team line and was joined by Zach George of Atascocita, Jerrell Watkins of Channelview, Nick Andrepoint of West Brook and Kevin Thomas and Reginald Broussard of Memorial. Markel McCartney of West Brook was named to the team as a center. Brandon Stewart of Atascocita was named-second team fullback and Patterson Clay of Memorial as well as Jordan Raney and Matt Brown were named second team running backs. Harry Brown of Memorial and Keith Baker of Humble were named second team quarterbacks.Cleveland was named to the team as an interior lineman and was joined by Jonah Lavatai of Humble and Gerald Moulton of West Brook. Butler was named to the team in the secondary joining Thaxton Francis of Humble, Desmond Gardiner of Memorial and David Falgout of West Brook. Robert Parker of Humble was named first team defensive end as well as defensive MVP. Marcus Malbrough and Blake Chavis of West Brook were also named defensive ends. Sean McMillan of Humble, Henry Long of Channelview, Pat Gardner of Kingwood and Taylor Reed of West Brook were named first team linebacker.Lee and Sterling seniors Anthony Gray and Milton Collins were named to the second team as linebackers joining Earl Hines of Memorial. Ranger senior Justin Neal was named to the team in the secondary, as was junior Thomas Bates. Jackie Hinton of Channelview and Kingwood senior Kyle Horine filled out the secondary. Ronnie Hickman of Humble and Shane McCardell of West Brook were named to the team as ends. Anthony Willams of Atascocita, Tyrone Campbell of Channelview, Lamarc Strahan of Humble, Tanie Easthagen of Kingwood and Roland Bordelon of West Brook were named as lineman. Neal was named first team as a return specialist as was Jordan Garrett of West Brook. Atascocita’s Reading Cotton was named to the team as a punter and Johnny Leopold and Greg Salado of Kingwood were named to the team as deep snapper and kicker. “You are always pleased when someone is selected,†Lee head coach Dick Olin said. “I thought Thomas Bates deserved to be on the first team but he didn’t get enough votes. Kyle Bieschke and Trey Murray were outstanding players for us but there was not a position for them.â€Both Bieschke (sophomore) and Murray (sophomore) were named honorable mention as were senior center Adam Rivera, senior running back Jesse Luna, junior tackle Austin Riley, sophomore tackle Tim Smith and senior receiver Malcolm Murray for the Lee offense. Senior linebacker David Hare, sophomore cornerback Trenton Warren and senior cornerback Eugene Mayes were named honorable mention defensively.Senior quarterback Jerrod Doucet, senior linebacker Lucas Ponce, senior defensive end Karam Hadidi and senior offensive lineman Leon Davis were named honorable mention for Sterling.
