you know, they'd be smart to try and talk coach hooks into it. a division 1 college coaching job straight from a 3A high school? who could turn that down?

Good idea, but I doubt that Coach Hooks would want to build a collegiate program at his age.  Coach Hooks was an assistant at Lamar before he went to WOS as defensive coordinator.  Good choice, bad timing for Lamar today.

i think fran would be a great coach he really didnt do much at ATM but before that he was known for turning programs into contenders. just dont know if lamar will have enough money to get him here

Trust me guys, the next head coach at Lamar will not be a high school coach. There will probably be a couple of high school coaches to be hired as assistants, but the next head will be a former or current college head or assistant coach.

That would be a neat deal, maybe they can pull Wade Phillips away from the Cowboys, since Garrett is going to take over the Boys anyway.
