8-4, or 7-5, they will play at least 2 rounds, since Bellville got moved to the other district

Yup but it all depends on where Silsbee finishes in district… if they win district I don’t think they see Bellville till the 4th round or so… if they don’t they could meet in the second round possibly I think… who knows… will have a better idea once the playoff brackets are released for next season. The region lost Cuero but gaining China Spring, Waco La Vega, and Lorena won’t make it any easier

that's why I'm thinking at least two rounds, thank goodness the 4th place seed doesn't catch Bellville this alignment. WOS should finish 1 or 2, but in case they stay in 4th mode, at least they wont go out against Bellville again, at least in the first round.  lol

I'm predicting 1- HF,  2- WOS, 3- Silsbee, 4- Jasper.   But only the 409 Gods know.

Who will be Silsbee WRs next season?

7 on 7, should give us an idea who might step up? The speed is there , just heard they are not consistent at catching the ball. But , when this young big O line learns all the schemes, and gels,  as the season progresses , look out. Keeping all healthy is always the key.

How will Silsbee look at RB and WR this year? Will Farr be the starting back or who else can we see baxk there as well? Defense?

Farr is a beast at RB, but he is a legitimate D1 Linebacker, so depends on where he plays the most? Gaines ,Im told is RB.

Coaches think this years Defense will be really good, much better with front 7, DB s young though.

OL is young, but Huge, Offense will be more like 18 and 19 teams, but a better QB.

Time will tell, This team might be the sleeper, nobody sees coming

Any sophomores on varsity who may get time on the field early

couple of lineman I believe, not sure about others? might be a couple freshman that play a lot ? I'm told freshman class is really good, 8 th is good, and 7th grade class is loaded , especially at QB and receiver, so future looks bright.

Don't be sleeping on Silsbee this year..! 🫠

I saw a few clips of their inter squad scrimmage and it could’ve just been those certain plays but it looked like the O line was struggling… now maybe that’s because the defensive pressure and how good the defense did… IDK

I was told D L got the better of them on the goal line work. O L is young, gonna b a learning curve, and the D L is really good. I'll go out on a limb and say the nose tackle will be the Defensive player of the year in District, staying healthy of coarse.

How many O linemen returned from last years team?

Tough to call.  This is what I would call the typical Silsbee non-district result...

2-3, 1-4,.... who knows maybe even a 3-2.

Many a time Silsbee rolled into playoffs at 500 or below and went 3-4 rds.

Def will have to play better down the stretch to keep the deep game in check.

Off just needs to be steady, rarely is that a huge problem in Silsbee.

I think you see a couple two way starters emerge as Silsbee playmakers.

As usual...conditioning will play a major role in non district record/results.

    • Verlander can’t expect THAT much run support. Game not over yet.
    • On another note in regards to the CU/Neb game, Colt McCoy is a terrible color analyst. He was very hard to listen to. Dude needs to work his way up the ranks first. Do some low level regional games or radio. Stay off the national broadcasts for now until he gets more experience.
    • Lived here most of my life with a small stint living in the Yucatán. for several years we ve been talking about moving at some point.  Wife likes Wyoming and I like Idaho.     my biggest reason for leaving would be because of the lack of border.  We all lock our houses and vehicles but yet some of us don’t understand locking a border up.  With 5 kids I don’t foresee me leaving anytime soon even if it turns blue but if that blue becomes dominate and becomes like California or NY…..bye felisha. and I do foresee Texas turning blue….people just can’t help themselves.
    • The Deer QB is pretty talented. He must be 6’5 if he’s an inch. Good arm. But, a lot of his weapons graduated last year. Their O isn’t quite as potent. But, they’re still—as usual—a big squad. They do have one speedy receiver who is dangerous. I think his number was 5. RB seems to be by committee. Again, the QB may be their best runner. Hard to bring down. Playing at Abshier is always a tough task. Well coached team as always. Just never really has the speed to compete against the NS’s. They have usually had the misfortune of having to face NS first round. So, they’re usually one & done. Different district this year. I don’t think they’ll be able to beat Dickinson for the district title. But, they should be in the mix for PO’s.
    • That's what is supposed to happen, if it slows down it will not.
