rupert3 Posted May 19 Author Report Posted May 19 Rangers and Mariners both lose 9 of last 11 games Quote
baddog Posted May 21 Report Posted May 21 C’mon Yankees. Never thought I would ever say that. Lol rupert3 1 Quote
rupert3 Posted May 22 Author Report Posted May 22 Another 2 home run game for Tucker and 6-5 walk off single by Pena in bottom of 10th. After a 9-6 blown game Monday Quote
rupert3 Posted May 22 Author Report Posted May 22 Mundane 2-1 loss. Pretty good home stand. Now on the road baddog 1 Quote
rupert3 Posted May 26 Author Report Posted May 26 After another mundane loss yesterday we took the series with a 5-2 dub over Athletis today. Tucker Number 18 nice Quote
baddog Posted May 26 Report Posted May 26 Could have picked up a game yesterday, but it didn’t happen…..that’s baseball. Playing Seattle next is where we make a move….control our destiny instead of rooting for another team to beat the division leader. Tucker’s 18th HR puts him in 1st and it’s the fastest to 18 in a season for any Astro. rupert3 1 Quote

AggiesAreWe Posted June 4 Report Posted June 4 The Astros are done. Urquidy will have surgery and will not come back. Javier will have Tommy John and he will miss remainder of season. Only legit starting pitchers the Stros have is Verlander and Valdez. The other three in rotation is Blanco, Brown and Arighetti. Season is over. This is my best spidersal rupert3 1 Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted June 5 Report Posted June 5 and Arighetti just took a line drive off his knee. smh Quote

We could get Garcia back in the 2nd half. I’ve given up on McCullers……been injured since 2018. Quote
rupert3 Posted June 5 Author Report Posted June 5 Yep I thought the bullpen was gonna blow it but they held o 8-5. Quote
rupert3 Posted June 10 Author Report Posted June 10 Another BP blow by Pressly and Hader 9-7 took series. Quote
A BUC 77 Posted June 10 Report Posted June 10 Pressly and Hader need to pick it up. They are getting paid pretty dang good. Both gave up 2 runs yesterday to the Angels. A team with a worse record than them. Quote

Houston converts just half of those they are above .500 and 70% puts then battling Seattle for 1st. rupert3 1 Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted June 11 Report Posted June 11 Make that now 12 blown saves in 24 opportunities. Only the Marlins and White Sox are worse in that category. Two teams that just happen to have the worst records in MLB at the current time. Convert half of those and the Astros are 36-31 and not 30-37. 1 1/2 back of Seattle and not 7 1/2 back. navydawg31 1 Quote
rupert3 Posted June 12 Author Report Posted June 12 Blanco gives up 1 run and 3 hit win over Giants 3-1. Oh and 8 Ks Quote
baddog Posted June 12 Report Posted June 12 Astros are terrible @ 1 run games. Seattle is one of the best. Seattle has a great pitching staff. Astros need to go on a win streak…. Sweep a couple series. Need to do much better head-to-head with Seattle. Sucked the last time. Quote
A BUC 77 Posted June 12 Report Posted June 12 Pressly looked good last night. Maybe the clean cut will turn his luck. Quote
spidersal Posted June 13 Report Posted June 13 You have to have good pitching to win in the majors and Houston has very few good ones I don’t think the GM did a very good job in the offseason in trying to acquire any good ones and we are seeing the results They also need a 1st baseman that can hit Quote
rupert3 Posted June 15 Author Report Posted June 15 Hunter Brown nice shutout of Tigers 4-0 5 hit 8 Ks Sent Jose Abreu packing. Supposedly owe him 30 million Quote
