spidersal Posted August 29 Report Posted August 29 I could care less about other MLB teams. My post was simply stating a problem that the Astros are having and need to address in the offseason. Quote

All teams would love to have their bottom three hitters in lineup to hit better. Duh Quote

rupert3 Posted August 30 Author Report Posted August 30 McCormick demoted to Tripple A to make room for Jason Heyward from Dodgers. Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted August 30 Report Posted August 30 Stros beat KC 6-3. Up 4 on Mariners. baddog 1 Quote
baddog Posted August 30 Report Posted August 30 Hindsight is 20-20, but Bregman’s ejection almost cost us the game. We have no other 3rd baseman. My 3rd baseman behind Bregman would be Dubón, and he’s certainly no Bregman. I’m happy for the win, but we need our best players on the field. 1989NDN 1 Quote
rupert3 Posted August 30 Author Report Posted August 30 What almost cost us the game was Abreu pitching. He is good but I don;t believe you can pitch every day and be efficient. The new guy Heyward did get 2 RBIs. I hated to see McCornick go though. Quote

Well of course Abreu allowed the runs that were charged to Brown, but had Whitcomb made the play at 3rd, the inning would have been over. 1989NDN 1 Quote
1989NDN Posted August 30 Report Posted August 30 I agree with baddog...if Bregman is not at 3rd base, I'd go with Dubon. I was at the game last night and Jason Heyward is a big dude. He's tall and has muscle on his frame. He smoked the double down the first base line and knocked in Pena and Singleton. I hope Heyward finds his mojo and helps us down the stretch...like he did last night. Good game by the good guys. Quote

I would have answered your question about a 6 man rotation but I couldn’t come up with anything good like effect on roster moves, does a 5 man rotation make that much difference in rest? Stuff I’m kinda vague on. Quote
baddog Posted August 31 Report Posted August 31 Well, they must have read my post. Dubón is playing 3rd tonight and just made a great play right after Peña made a highlight play at SS. rupert3 1 Quote
rupert3 Posted August 31 Author Report Posted August 31 Framber 1 hit shutout going thru 7 Abreu did ok. Hader gives up 2 run dinger 2-2 then Altuve walkoff 1 run dbl. Crazy ending 3-2 Combined 2 hitter Way to go guys Quote
baddog Posted August 31 Report Posted August 31 I’m at the game down 3rd baseline, between 3rd and Crawford boxes, 2nd level. I believe Kikuchi is pitching. Go Astros Quote
baddog Posted September 1 Report Posted September 1 Kikuchi mowing them down. 9Ks, 2 hits Ragans for KC pitching a 1 hitter with 9Ks Quote
baddog Posted September 1 Report Posted September 1 Bases loaded single by Diaz scores Gamel and Altuve. Double steal by Alvarez and Diaz. 2 run triple by Peña. 4-0 Astros. No outs Quote
baddog Posted September 1 Report Posted September 1 Peña takes home on a passed ball. 5-0 Stros. Quote
rupert3 Posted September 1 Author Report Posted September 1 Nice 5-2 win great pitching by Kikuchi with 12 Ks very few mistakes Quote
rupert3 Posted September 1 Author Report Posted September 1 Mariners lose and Rangers win. Now 5 up again Quote
rupert3 Posted September 1 Author Report Posted September 1 Probably the best SWEEP this year. Alvarrez 5 dingers in 3 games, 2 today. Every one contributed. NICE Quote
rupert3 Posted September 1 Author Report Posted September 1 Temporary crease Abreu is good but he tends to scare me. Quote
