Also, I assume Pacific has a flight issue as Sunday was already scheduled for a noon rather than 1:00 start. We shall see..... Quote
myrecordwashorrible Posted March 16 Report Posted March 16 Birds score 3 in the 8th to win 3-1. HCU transfer, Roccaforte, hit 2 run homer to add Lamar's final 2 runs. Double header at 1:00 today. Quote
myrecordwashorrible Posted March 16 Report Posted March 16 Cards take the first game today with a 5-1 final. Game 2 (3 of the series) will start at 4:20. Quote
myrecordwashorrible Posted March 16 Report Posted March 16 Quick game. Win 3-0 for the sweep. LU gives up 2 runs in 3 games. PV on Tuesday and open conference at HCU on Friday. Quote
myrecordwashorrible Posted March 17 Report Posted March 17 Just looking over the weekends' box scores. How about these 2 stats?? LU pitchers strike out 28 batters and walked 1, yes just 1, in a 3 game series. 1 walk in 27 innings is tremendous at any level. Quote

spidersal Posted March 19 Report Posted March 19 Pitching wise they are playing fantastic right now. Record very good right now. Hitting below average right now. Hopefully they will keep it up Quote
myrecordwashorrible Posted March 20 Report Posted March 20 9-3 over PV tonight. Travel to play the fighting Berkman's this weekend. All games in the series are day games with 2:00, 1:00, and 2:00 start times. This is the first conference series. HCU pitching is quite suspect, but they do have quality offensive production. Quote
myrecordwashorrible Posted March 23 Report Posted March 23 Let's play 2. LU and HCU had today's game postponed and will play a double header tomorrow starting at 11. Quote
myrecordwashorrible Posted March 23 Report Posted March 23 LU takes game 1 with an 8-1 score. LU brought a pretty decent fan base to Houston today. It appears they out number the HCU fans. Quote

snakehead26 Posted March 23 Author Report Posted March 23 little tougher but Lamar takes game two 6-4 Quote

myrecordwashorrible Posted March 24 Report Posted March 24 Birds sweep. 11-9 finale. Start conference 3-0 and now sit 19-4 on the season. 4 games against Big 12 next week. U of H for 1 game and a 3 game series at ranked OU. snakehead26 1 Quote
snakehead26 Posted March 24 Author Report Posted March 24 Lamar wins today 11-9 and sweeps the series. Relief pitching gave up six runs in the sixth inning. On to Houston and then Oklahoma for a three game series. Maybe Big Puma snuck in a few ABs of his own to help the HCU offense. Quote
bullets13 Posted March 26 Report Posted March 26 Saw something somewhere that Lamar has the longest D1 win streak in the nation currently. Pretty impressive. Or not, depending on who you ask. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
