I got my copy of Dave Campbell's Texas Football via pre-order as well as a friend. In his copy he had all the Classifications from 5A down to Six-Man and Private Schools. But he didn't have the 3A section but two Class 2A section, so be careful and make sure your copy has a 3A section before you buy it.

Is it just me or does it seem weird that WOS is at #5 and Wimberly is at #9? I thougt Wimberly was bringing back most of its skill players from last years state team. I don't have my DCTF yet but cant wait 8)

It's interesting to see how, over the years, the dominance changes. I.E. where's Stephensville, Ennis,...see how far down LaMarque is.

BTW, The #1 pick, Texas High, Are they from the Houston/Pasadena area??

I don't think it's weird that WOS is #5; however, I thought Wimberley would be higher (they're still a top team until proven otherwise) and imagined BC and Jasper would at least be somewhere on the list. I'm also surprised Gainesville isn't on the top 25. In essence, the 3A D1 state champion and D2 state finalist barely crack the top ten, and the D1 state finalist not even make the list.

Gainsville has a new Coach this year and are only returning 3 on Offense and 1 on defense.

That means diddly... They're returning from the state championship game, and they've put together a string of solid years. I'm not saying they should be #1, but they should at least be in the top 25. There's no question they have a tremendous program with some great athletes -- the new coach just has to not screw things up too badly...

Now I can't tell ya why Ennis didn't make the list other than Dave just might have a crack problem, ( I'm kidding of course. ) I love the magazine.

Then again not being on the list doesn't break my heart and flyin' under the radar does have it's advantages.

I was about to put them up, I was in a bad mood when the Heat lost last night, but I saw someone already had it up for me.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, Central is 19 in 4a, but third in the district projections behind Ozen and Nederland who are not in the top 25. This type of thing happens every year.
