Below is a quick review of the athletic and academic accomplishments for the 2005-2006 school year. Girls Cross Country: District champions and regional qualifier Boys Cross Country: District champions and state qualifiers finishing 7th. Volleyball: District champions and regional finalists (Lost to eventual state champion Bellville) Football - District champions and area finalist Girls Basketball: District champions and regional quarterfinalists Boys Basketball: District champions and area finalist Boys Track: District champions; Cedric Moore and Jimmy Mudd state competitors Girls Track: District champions; Brandea Speer state competitor Girls Golf: District champions and regional qualifiers Boys Golf: District champions, 3rd at regional tournament; Matt Stephens 4th at state Girls Tennis: District champions Boys Tennis: District champions Baseball: 2nd place in district; bi-district and area champions Softball: 2nd place in district; regional champion and state semifinalist Literary and Academic Teams: Literary Criticism - State champions, Mark Fritzenschaft 4th and Brian Bender 6th Current Issues and Events - 2nd place state team; John Loranger State Champion Computer Applications - Ryan Ashley 3rd place at state One Act Play - 1st Runner Up; Ryan Gipson and Stephen Mercantel all-star cast
