No excuses. Just facts. He pretty much had his way vs the majority of the jv teams and nobody "shut him down". I don't know what Falcon was watching

I "was watching him not be able to run the offense against a team of freshman" who were "not good enough to play varsity" en-route to a loss against said team.

Yes, they tied for 1st place with Coldspring and he lost head to head with Coldspring. He showed himself to be a JV QB who lost to a CS team with "not one player remotely close to being varsity caliber". You can make all the excuses that you want.

Yall barely beat Huntington and Crockett then lost pretty handily to Shepherd. Luke was not shut down by anybody. A shut down is yall scoring zero points against Shepherd or varsity offense not scoring anything against our varsity defense. Those are shutdowns. And according to some other members of this board there was a junior leading your "team of freshmen" in rushing and receiving this year.

CS JV won a share of the District Championship and beat Woodville (and QB) "head to head" and "on the field". I stated multiple times that the JV was "mediocre at best".

However, "mediocre" was good enough to beat Woodville JV. 3A JV is very low level football for high school, second only to "2A JV football".

OK and Woodville's jv was above average as you can tell when you look at the scores through the season. I think you know that and think you know Luke wasn't just a "jv player" which is why your amazed that your "team of freshmen" held him and the eagles to 20 points. Even calling it a shutdown when I gave you a couple examples of real "shutdowns". LoL. Just focus on your team and maybe yall can get in the playoffs this year coach

Understood. WV JV was so "above average" that they "lost to CS JV". I only saw him play in one game and he looked like he had the potential to be a very good QB in the future.

The WV coaches have seen him every day and they felt like he was a JV player (for whatever reason). He should be on varsity this year. I expect him to make a good showing for himself.

One game on a wet field. Yet you want to get on here and try to downplay a kids talents based off that one game. Even referring to your own team as "mediocre at best" (which is low-key downing your own team) just to further downplay the kid's talent. Your a disgrace man

Understood, I keep it real. I have stated many times for everyone to read: “the kid looks like he will be a good player in the future” and that “he was one of the best JV players I saw this year”.

Do you want me to say he was the best varsity player? Do you want me to say he beat CS JV? CS JV was "world beaters"?

I will rely on the judgement of the WV coaches (who had him on JV) and what I witnessed (which was a loss to CS JV).

Sorry if that is offensive.

R. Williams was senior QB last year. He was selected as the all district offensive player. He was outstanding. Luke was a good young QB but he was not better than Williams. Luke has the potential to someday be better than Williams ,but that remains to be seen.

Let’s all pray that this upcoming season will be a great one and that all players will stay as healthy as possible. We all know (or should) that we’re talking about kids so no matter what team that you support, to ensure that we’re being as encouraging and uplifting as we can be as grown (oftentimes immature) adults.

Staying true to the subject topic, it should be a competitive game against Woodville & Fig Newton. I’d venture to say that the winner of this game will most definitely be crowned the district champs.

We pray before every game and after every game at Newton. This (our players are better than your players)was started by longballs. He does this every yer then just disappears.

This is one of several posts.

I guess I won’t get an apology. That’s ok, I see how easy it is to get all these posts mixed up. I wish someone would post the names of all the kids from both sides that have received D1 offers and who has made the offers.

ps. My Daddy can whip your Daddy. LMAO

But can you whip the Woodville coaches after all the trash you have talked on them???

Their baseball coach is a pretty big boy. I bet he would like to  have a private meeting with you.

Newton had 8 sophomores  and one freshman starting last year. Should be no problem for big bad woodville. Nothing to see here.

Newton has 5 underclassman that runs the 100 meter from 10.64 to 11.14.
the winning time for the women that qualified for the Olympics was 10.8

In Newton’s case it usually accounts to deep playoff runs as well.

Yeah I mean… Newton has been good at football for years and years lol that’s no secret. Just a weird comparison IMO lol
