Guest abovetherim Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 Yeah, congratulations to SHSU. They are playing some great basketball.
KFDM COOP Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 Would love to see LU in there one day.
Guest abovetherim Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 Lamar has been ranked as high as 19th in the regular season in the AP poll at the DI level. I'll be glad when those days return but I have to remind myself to be patient. After 20 years, I must admit my patients is running thin.
Guest mffl Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 And who is the highest ranked team Lamar has beat?
Guest abovetherim Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 #5 OSU on their homecourt during the NCAA tournament.
UNLV Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 I remember LU ranked 18th, then Karl Malone knocked us out.
Guest coachacola Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 Lamar lost the same day the poll came out, I think to Arkansas State, and they were out of the poll the next week. Too bad they only ranked the top 20 teams, not 25 like today, or Lamar might have been ranked more than just one week.

We are ranked 283 by Sagarin. Impressive....
Guest abovetherim Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 Agree, great for SHSU and the SLC as a whole but my focus is on what Lamar is doing.
