He took the starting job for the fifth game of the season and guided Dayton to wins in its final six District 22-4A games. Now he and the Broncos are 3-0 in the playoffs and riding a nine-game win streak into the fourth round of the postseason.“Every game he quarterbacked on the junior varsity (in 2006), he won,†Dayton coach Jerry Stewart adds. “Every game we won, he won.â€So what would Charles be doing if junior Cody Green hadn’t gotten hurt in Dayton’s second game this season?“Cody still would have been quarterbacking,†Stewart says of the 6-foot-4, 220-pound Green, who has already had scholarship offers from Miami, Texas A&M, Houston and Baylor, according to the coach.“But things have a way of working out.â€....................................... Mike George
There is a very good reason he played JV QB. He came in from New Orleans after losing his home in the flood and was at Dayton his firrst year as a junior. He had to be "seasoned" a bit. Worked, didn't it?
