BABOLAT2
I never said she wasn't a great champ, I just said she wasn't the best champ in the area. What makes a great champ is not having one of those bad days and until you can have the mental game to play your best every match, then you still have a lot to learn. SLandry09
That's right. Chuck Norris probably doesn't even need a raquet to beat someone in tennis. He's just that awesome.

bigballer10
There is such thing as controlling a bad day and maintaining your status as a great player.
bigballer10
And I agree with BABOLAT2 that you have to maintain mental stability.
garsnare
What do you have to do to be a champ or super? You have to start in the Zats. If you get 65 points in your best 4 tournaments you qualify for Champs. Once you are in Champs you have to get 80 points in your best 3 Major Zones to qualify for Supers. garsnare
Zats are USTA tournaments. There is one in the Houston area every month. They are divided by age groups. 12, 14 16, 18.

Babolat Baller
Most Champs and Supers are graduating or will graduate in the next two years. I don't know about 4a but 3a has gone down a lot in three years. 2a has no one. But there are a lot of good players out there who don't play USTA that could hold their own against the Champs and Supers of this area.

Babolat Baller
OK there aeropro 7, just because someone doesn't have the resources to play USTA doesn't mean that they can't hold their own against USTA players.
bigballer10
I'm almost a champ. And I'm not ashamed to say I have been beat by a person that doesn't play usta. So?
