Unbelievableee Posted May 2 Report Posted May 2 Not for sure on that yet. It is one of the options they are discussing though Quote

It is one of the options they are discussing though It's the only option they have if they want to implement it starting next school year. Otherwise, they would have to redo the basketball/baseball/softball districts. That would be very problematic since a lot of coaches have already started on next year's schedule. My sources tell me it will be like how 6A does football. Maybe next realignment will have the districts done by division. Quote

If it passes it goes into effect next season. Quote

rupert3 Posted May 6 Report Posted May 6 I really doubt that will happen next season maye 2 years. Quote
bullets13 Posted May 6 Report Posted May 6 I hope it does. Although I'm sure the big city low division teams will still find ways to make sure they're in the lower division in many cases. I love the idea of the 4A playoffs having a division that is actually made up of mostly smaller community teams. Quote
The real 1906 Posted May 7 Report Posted May 7 Get ready for it because it's going to happen. The vote will happen after the big AD conference June 2-5th Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted May 7 Report Posted May 7 I really don't like it. Just wait till next realignment and align all the districts by division and not do it after district play is over. That way there are same amount of playoff games as they are now. Splitting after district is over eliminates a couple of rounds of playoffs and really doesn't give a true indicator of state champion. It also eliminates regional tourneys and semifinals at state tourney. Just wait till next realignment. Quote

buccaneers4lyfe Posted May 14 Report Posted May 14 Rough day for the smaller schools it looks like, but kudos to those guys for getting some extra work in. Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted May 14 Report Posted May 14 Silsbee played without one of their star players in Johnson. Was at an AAU tourney in Memphis. Was told Rice and Boulwen dominated inside. Jones did his thing from the perimeter and dishing inside to the bigs. Who That 1 Quote
TxHoops Posted May 18 Report Posted May 18 Orangefield loses some key players including their probably their second and third best players (although imo they return their best player and their second most talented player). The Thomas kid has the tools to be really special before it’s all said and done. So that being said, I would say OF should be competing for district once again. And Scales will continue on his path to be the best to lace ‘em up in Bobcat country. Cu Chulainn 1 Quote

I do think they take a small step back next year, but Scales’ senior year should be a regional tournament team. TxHoops and Cu Chulainn 2 Quote
